Fed Ex Says I underpaid and charged me an additional $55
So I shipped a comforter to a buyer in California using FedEx home delivery on March 2nd. It was the cheapest option. I made the package as small as possible and used a large poly bag. The dimensions were 24 x 17 x 9 and it was 10lbs. The label cost me approximately $26. I got an email today (March 18th) saying that I underpaid for shipping and was charged an extra $55. Making the total shipment approximately $80. Under the description of the charges It is said that the package was 28x 12x 21. Is there any way I can dispute this overcharge? I know for a fact it wasn't 28 in because my Poly bags are literally 24" x 26". I can't find a "dispute these charges" anywhere like I've seen on USPS before. I just think this is ridiculous, first off because that measurement isn't even real and secondly because the item was Mailed on March 2nd and delivered on March 7th. Why now? I wouldn't have chosen Fed Ex Home Delivery if it was going to be $80 out of my pocket to ship a 10lb bag. I thought $25 was appropriate, But $80?? Looking for some insight or recommendations as to who to contact to dispute this.

Mentor5 months agoFed Ex requires that all items require a cardboard box. You stated you shipped this item in a poly bag. I believe that is why you were charged extra.
