Faulty Motor Part Incurred Double Garage Fee
I recently purchased a Genuine tailgate door lock and Actuator from a mainline Jaguar-Landrover Dealer on EBay. The part was faulty and fitted by my local garage. EBay Dealer wouldn’t answer my message on EBay and it took 5 phone calls to the Landrover branch to establish how to return the part. Car was unusable for 2 weeks while a replacement part was sent, ( paid for in full and refunded once I sent the faulty part back) problem is that I was charged Twice by my garage for removing the faulty part after fitting the replacement. Landrover refuses to pay the second garage invoice as they say it has to be replaced by a Landrover Dealership. Nearest dealership is 88 miles away, 2 hrs 20 minutes drive each way with a rear window down in pouring rain? The part replacement works as it should so first part supplied was definitely defective.
