faulty cassettes
Has anyone else had issues with the audio cassettes for Lord of the Rings books? I bought these in October for Christmas and of course it is now outside the return window, which is stupid for an item like this. There is no way you can listen to all 33 cassettes in a short period of time. For book 1 tapes 5 and 6 will not play at all. Several also have areas where the speech sounds like it is on slow speed. There are frequent bursts of static that will shock you, especially if you are listening in bed and trying to relax. I have tried to contact the seller twice last month but received no answer to any email. This seller is selling defective merchandise and will get away with this because of this ridiculous return window for items such as these.

OP8 months agoStill have not received any reply to my 3 emails sent to this seller. They need to be removed from selling on ebay. Until that is done I will not use ebay ever again. Very poor followup on your part. You don't police these sellers and make them responsible at all. So I am done with with.

Mentor8 months agoYou had 30 days from date of delivery to file a Return Request for a full refund which would have reported the seller and they would have received a defect from Ebay. Ebay cannot "police" the sellers unless buyers file disputes.
By the way, I do not work for Ebay, I am a volunteer mentor.

Mentor9 months agoSince it is beyond the 30 days from delivery to file a Return Request, you will need to dispute the charge with the funding source you used to pay for the item.
