Fanweek26 coupon code - Scam?

Question

When speaking to a rep about this web page she said it was a scam.

This is the page where is gives the details of what can and cannot be used for:

https://pages.ebay.com/promo/2026/fanweek26/

These are the eligible product pages:

https://www.ebay.com/e/row/fanweek26-eng

If there is a scam going around, can Ebay do something about it. This looks like it is under Ebays domain. Can someone confirm these are or are not Ebay hosted pages?

Those are eBay pages and it appears to be a valid promotion.

Do you meet the requirements to use that discount code? Is your registration address in one of the countries listed? I notice that the United States is not on the list.

Not sure why someone told you the coupon was a "scam" -- perhaps the "scam" was someone telling you that the coupon applied to you when it did not.

eBay typically only shares such coupons with user accounts that qualify (though sometimes eBay does make mistakes and shares coupon codes more widely). From time to time, users share coupon information on social media and users that cannot use a coupon find it that way, but cannot actually apply the coupon successfully.
