False tracking numbers
Encountered a scammer who uses false tracking numbers to claim the item was delivered.
Presumably this gives them some leverage in cases lodged with ebay.
I'm this case they provided a false tracking number when supposedly delivered
Checked with carrier
Wrong house on photo
But wrong address and name
Not my parcel
Complained and received new tracking number also bogus
Left feedback to warn others
Immediately removed
So EBAY actually supports these scams and colludes to stop people being warned

Mentor2 years agoThe bots see that tracking states DELIVERED so you will automatically lose an Item Not Received case.
You take the tracking number down to the carrier (post office/FedEx/UPS). Have them check their GPS coordinates for where the package was delivered. If it was NOT to your name/address, then you get that statement on their letterhead. They do not need to state where it was delivered, just NOT to you.
Then you upload a copy of that letterhead into an appeal, to get your money back.
