False Seller Report
Summary: brydpeter shared an experience where they suspected a seller of scamming them due to unusual tracking information, but later received the item, leading them to doubt their initial instincts. They expressed regret for creating a report and asked if there's a way to update eBay to clear the seller's name. comics-scifi-collectibles suggested the possibility of incorrect settings at the post office being the cause of the tracking issue and noted that the seller may have already addressed any negative feedback if it was given.
I had a very weird transaction with a seller and felt I was a victim of a scam of softs. I will not go into detail, but it didn't seem right and the response from the seller seem pretty suspect.
However, I received my item and now I feel really bad about creating the report, as either my gut feeling that some was up was wrong, or my message to the seller prompted them to send the product.
I believe the former at this point, and I was too quick to judge the situation.
I will give one detail, the product showed as delivered to their own post office, and appeared it was sent and received the same day at the same place based on USPS tracking information.
Now the I have received the package and doubt my gut feeling that something was off, I would like to notify ebay that the seller did nothing wrong.
Is there an avenue to do this? I know I should have been more patient, so please don't flame me. It seemed off and my concern wasn't for my little payment lost, but thinking this seller may be scamming more users.
LIke I said, I don't believe this is true at this point. Please advise if there is a way to get back in touch with ebay to update my report.

OP1 month agoI didn't leave negative feedback on the users page. I reported them. Worse I know, but I will leave positive feedback. I have been in touch with them and apologized and told them I would leave positive feedback. It was screwy. I just want them to get in trouble for what seems to be an issue at the post office. It had shown delivered to the same post office the user sent if from, I was unaware this was a thing. You learn something new everyday, but I want to right my wrong.

Mentor1 month ago@brydpeter I don't see any negative feedback that you have left. The seller may have been able to have it removed already since tracking showed delivery.
Keep in mind that the post office does sometimes have the wrong setting on the scanner, that sounds like what happened.
