False report of policy violation
I just got a policy violation notice accusing me of trying to buy or sell outside of eBay. I didn't do that. I had a link to a Wikipedia article about the artist who created the work I had listed for sale. Nowhere in the article is there anyway or any link to a place to buy or sell any works by that artist or to buy or sell the work I had listed.
I believe someone is targeting Wikipedia.
How do I let eBay know about this? I can't get through to a person. Just an automated voice on the phone that just sends me back to the same articles they have online.

·1 year agoIt's best to never include any external links in your eBay listings. Wikipedia may not be used for the purpose of selling outside of eBay, but any external links can trigger that violation potentially. Keep your listings simple and to the point to avoid issues like this in the future.
Edit: this is the actual policy:
"To protect our members, listings or products can't contain links that direct customers to a site other than eBay, even if the link is not clickable."
