False advertising
I purchased the following in December 2023 from seller flowfc:
New in Sealed Box Apple iPhone X 256GB A1865 UNLOCKED Smartphone 256G SILVER FF
within 5 months, phone has a swollen battery, took it to apple, they opened it up and said phone is not new, full of 3rd party parts it’s tampered with so much that they cannot add an apple battery. Phone is worthless and junk. Seller sends me this email as their response:

In order to control the purchase cost, we didn’t buy official warranty.you don't have 1 year manufacturer warranty, no factory warranty.
You have 2 month warranty from us.
The warranty is expired now.
This was completely false advertising, and I cannot find an easy way to report this or get eBay to shut them down or for someone to be held responsible and refund me.

Mentor2 years agoebay's Money Back Guarantee exp[ired 30 days after receipt of the item. If you paid with Paypal, they allow to file a Returns Request with 180 days of the transaction and that is approaching. As a last resort you can contact your credit card issuer if that is how you paid.
