Mentor2 years agoScammers often send out official-looking but otherwise fake emails for things such as invoices, security warnings, lotteries, raffles, free gift announcements, social media or law enforcement messages. Anything to get you to click on a link that might lead you to provide your credentials or financial details directly to the scammer.
That is how phishing emails work. Never follow any blind links in such an email.
