Fake/bootleg items with the same name & description as the real item.
I'm new to Goorin Bros caps, and I really started to admire their style/look once I purchased my first, authentic, Goorin Bros cap. But I got too excited, too soon, and bought several Goorin Bros caps(5 total, so far) back to back. Well...I showed my nephew my new Goorin Bros caps, and he liked them as well. He also owns a few of the Goorin Bros caps himself. But unfortunately...one of the caps I ordered, recently, was a fake/bootleg. It didn't have the black tag on the back(where you adjust/snap the hat)...It didn't have the same hologram sticker(the hologram logo was different), and it didn't have the farm logo stitched on the inside of the cap. And when I placed this cap next to my other caps(which are authentic Goorin bros caps), you could clearly see the difference. I even have screenshots of the fake/bootleg cap, ebay listing page, as well as screenshots of the real Goorin Bros cap(the listing page) that the fake/bootleg cap was copied(style wise and so on...it even spells Goorin Bros the same) from...yet ebay(the agent) said it(the fake/bootleg cap listing) isn't in violation of their policies/rules. Huh/what? I don't understand. Can someone, please, help me understand? And it takes forever to really get someone I can actually converse with, over the phone, about the issue, and the ai doesn't understand my issue(it gives me info. that doesn't help me at all when it comes to this). Then, when they(ebay) emailed me back, to respond/reply to my complaint, they told me not to reply to the email(Please don't reply to this message. It was sent from an address that doesn't accept incoming email.); which means, I'll have to do this(go back and forth with the ai and pray for an actual call back that doesn't ring just one time and hang up) all over again if I wish to speak on the issue even further, because it's, indeed, a fake/bootleg cap. Smh(shake my head)...this is too much. I've never had an issue like this before on ebay, and I've been with ebay since 2004, but now...seeing how tedious it is to get help when an issue does come about...I'm thinking of going else where. It's like ebay just doesn't care to really look into, legit, issues; they just over-look it(fake items being sold to paying customers)/they let the culprit continue his wrong doings, just as long as it brings in sells.

OP4 months agoThank you, kindly, for the replies! They're much appreciated...very much so. As mentioned...I'm new to being bamboozled on ebay; this is the first time, in decades, it's happened to me. And...unfortunately...I had another cap delivered to me yesterday, and it was a fake/bootleg as well. I shouldn't have bought so many at one time, without knowing how to recognize fakes. But, at least, now(after being deceived) I know what to look for/look out for when it comes to purchasing, authentic, Goorin bros caps...and that will help me prevent such nonsense(being bamboozled) in the future. The first cap(a fake) is being sent back Monday, for a refund, so I'm happy with that. This second cap...smh(shake my head)...I don't even want to go through the motions(of returning it/dealing with ebay); I'll just call it a lesson learned. Plus, I've been thinking of giving ebay a break any way. I'll probably try another option(for online purchases, something similar to eba) for a while. And with that being said...thank you, once more, for the replies. You( rock! 🙂

Mentor4 months agoebay's Money Back Guarantee expires 30 days after receipt of the item.
Go to My ebay > Purchase History
Locate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on More to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. ebay sends you a link to print out the label. Print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click on Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
