Mentor1 year agoAn invalid tracking number is not necessarily a fake tracking number; it could be a mistake, or a number that has not been updated yet. Or it may not be a USPS number.
Fake or false tracking numbers are typically valid tracking numbers that show delivery to a different address. Without a delivery indication, the tracking won't help the seller win an "item not received" case, so a completely made up number is useless for that purpose.
Try using a universal tracking number application such as ship24 to see if the tracking number corresponds to another service.
