fake or original ?
I recently purchased a pair of Nike Vomero Premium shoes on eBay from a newly listed seller. The total amount paid was approximately USD 190. My concern is that this specific model has been associated with numerous replicas, and the product is currently being shipped from Hong Kong, a region known to be a high-risk hub for counterfeit goods.
Although the seller has stated that the item is original, I am increasingly worried that the product may not be authentic. The combination of a new seller account, international shipping from Hong Kong, and the high number of known replicas for this model raises legitimate concerns about the authenticity of the item.
I would like to understand how eBay manages and regulates the sale of branded products in order to prevent counterfeit items from being sold, and what protections are in place for buyers in situations like this. Specifically, I am interested in knowing how eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee or buyer protection policies apply to this type of purchase.
I would also appreciate the opinions and experiences of other buyers who may have faced similar situations, particularly regarding purchases of branded footwear from international sellers. Any guidance on how best to proceed if the product turns out to be non-original, including recommended steps upon delivery, would be very helpful.
At this point, my goal is to ensure that I either receive an authentic product or am able to secure a refund if the item does not meet authenticity standards.

If you want authentic items, one step to take is to not purchase items located in Hong Kong ("a region known to be a high-risk hub for counterfeit goods.")
