Fake item
The seller sent me a copy/fake plate and gave a nasty reply and now does not reply. It was a dinner late to replace a broken one in my set. So I have originals and the one I purchased is obviously a copy. I started a return but then canceled when I found out I would be stuck with both shipping charges. Now eBay does seem to help with this problem.

-Once a return is cancelled another one through eBay is not permitted
-If you used PayPal you can file a return there but you will pay the return shipping
-If you used a credit card you can try a charge back but there is no guarantee you will win the claim

The seller needs to pay for items that are not as described, including shipping both ways.
Since you canceled the return, eBay can't help you. So maybe your payment issuer can help?
