Fake Designer Items
Why is EBay now allowing obviously fake designer items mixed in with authentic designer items to be sold. For example, obviously fake Brunello Cucinelli sweaters made in China at ridiculously low prices included with authentic Brunello items. I thought selling fakes was against the law plus I don’t want to get scammed.

Yes, selling counterfeits is illegal and against eBay policy. There are over 2 billion active items on eBay that are changing every minute as items are sold and new items listed. No human can review every item listed nor would be an authenticity expert.
If you find a fake, you can use eBay's report link on the item listing to bring it to eBay's attention. Many manufacturers review listings for their products and have eBay take them down under the VeRO program.
Finally, if you were to receive a counterfeit, you can open a case for an item that is not as described to get your money back.
