Failed payment
I have a buyer that hasn't paid in two days. I realize that he has four calendar days to pay. But, after reading eBay's policy on this I see that after four days of non payment I can offer the item to the next highest bidder. So I looked at how much the next highest bidder has offered and it is the same amount as the high bidder. How is this possible that there are two equal bids and one is designated the high bidder. Could this be an eBay screw up and possibly why I have not been paid.

If eBay receives a valid bid, it should appear on the bid history page, viewable if you use a desktop browser. The app only shows an abbreviated bid history that cannot be relied on.
If a bid is retracted, there should be a note at the bottom of the bid history.

·3 years agoIt is a proxy bid also known as automatic bidding. A bidder enter the most that they are willing to pay and eBay bids for them up to to that amount.

Mentor3 years agoIn the case of a tie, the earlier bidder is considered the winner. That is how eBay auctions work.
