Extremely popular item got no views and sold for 1 bid.
I recently had an item sell for $1 to its only bidder.
While the auction was live I searched very hard for my item and the ONLY way I was able to make it appear is to copy/paste the entire title into the search bar. If i searched using any of the keywords in the title it would not appear no matter what.
I will not send this item out for $1. I also do not want to receive bad feedback from a seller for cancelling because I feel it is unjustified. What can I do?
For reference, it was a modern, NM condition Pokemon card (arguably one of the hottest items on earth right now) with a market value around $45-$50. There are absolutely zero instances of this happening in the sold listings for this card or any other card of similar market value.

You did not list your item in the category that is the default for it - toys >> collectible card games individual cards. You listed yours in collectibles & art. This is why your item was hard to find and why it got few views.
If you cancel you must use the reason I am out of stock. The buyer can leave you bad feedback. There is no way around it.

OP4 months agoI listed it in the category it told me to list it in. I literally typed "pokemon" as well as "cleffa" into the search bar with no other parameters which means the category shouldnt matter, it just didnt show up.
Even if it was the "wrong category", It should still have showed up under both of those general searches.

You need to watch what category is searched - when you search the system will default to the most popular category. If you list in a different category, you need to change your search to 'all'.
