extra shipping fees
I order multiple sports cards a week. It seems once or twice a week I get an envelope from the mail carrier stating that I owe for postage. All of the orders I make state that the seller is paying for shipping. It is difficult because of the quantity of orders to find out which ones were short postage. Occasionally I get an envelope stamped with the deficiency. How do i stop this from happening besides not buying anything??

Mentor1 year ago@bwt608_sports I am sorry that you are having trouble with eBay Standard Envelope shipping. Postage due on delivery usually happens if the seller did not package the cards correctly. Have you reached out to your sellers about their error in packaging and the postage due?
This is a metered mail ( only read by the sorting equipment) option and there are envelope type requirements plus the envelope must remain flexible enough to bend around a standard coffee mug. A high volume card seller said they use a few sheets of plain printer paper wrapped around the cards to protect them in shipping while remaining flexible.

You can refuse delivery of the cards that arrive postage due. Postage due is the ONLY reason that a buyer can refuse the package and still be covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

If a package arrives empty or was damaged in transit, the buyer should accept the delivery and report that the item doesn't match the listing.
You would refuse the package and file a not received refund request. Make sure that the post office notates the postage due status for you.
