Extra insurance purchased as a seller that the post office says I did not purchase
I sold an item for $350. when i went to buy the shipping label it asked if I wanted additional insurance (shipped priority that covers $100) I purchased the extra insurance but after contacting the post office to see how to file a claim, they informed me I did not purchase extra insurnce.
I found on ebay the transaction details page. It reads Label Cost $15 then below that it reads "insurance" $5.55 on it which proves I paid for extra insurance. I refunded the customer (due to the item arriving broken with a destroyed box with a return label.Please help me to understand and tell me how to get my money back due to purchasing extra insurance . I am newish to ebay and don't even know how to contact them to discuss my next move. Thank you in advance

OP8 months agoI can't find a seller hub. I am on my personal PC and i go to selling and it takes me to a page that says "My ebay Seller Overview" I understand that is the older page? Do I need to update something? I keep hearing the word Seller Hub but can't find it . i was also trying to take off "Auto Renew" and I don't have that option on my seller page like it says I should. Sorry for the trouble. Its been a very long time since I sold on ebay and a lot has changed. I Need a Ebay Book! lol

Mentor8 months ago@hallfamilyx3 if u purchased the insurance when u created the label, it is probably thru ShipCover, not USPS, if so, read here for complete info on shipping insurance claims>

OP8 months agoDo I have to wait for the package to be returned? I do not see "file a claim" on the shipping label as it says I would

on your seller hub page, hover over 'orders' at the top of the page and click on 'shipping labels'
once u find the item, the 'actions' button will show 'create claim'
