Extending ship by date per customer request
How do I extend a shipping date without being late on shipping? Customer purchased today but does not want to receive the package until after 10/12/25. In order to do that I would have to hold the shipment until at least the 9th or 10th which makes me late on my shipping. I normally ship within 1 day and do not want to be late. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The short answer is that you don't. eBay has NO provisions to "pause" a transaction (even though it has been suggested to them). Sellers cannot "construct their own deals" like that sadly. If you ship after you Handling time you risk getting a late shipping defect.
The path of least resistance, if you ship USPS is to advise the Buyer to go to the Post Office and fill out a form to hold their mail while they are gone OR let them know you have to ship within your Handling time or receive a defect from eBay. They can ask you to Cancel in a message and you can cancel using the reason, "Buyer requested ..." to avoid a strike on your account. They can then purchase it when they return.
