Expired calibration gases for sale.
I was looking for calibration gases for sale on here to save some money, as the average price for a cylinder of certified cal gas is around $400-$500 each. I have yet to find one for sale on Ebay that hasn't expired, and the sellers are showing the expiration date in their pics. I saw one that expired 14 years ago! Most of the cal gases are only good for 2 years. These gases are used to calibrate gas detectors that are used to keep people safe from dangerous gases or lack of oxygen when they enter tanks and pits to perform maintenance. A bad calibration gas can result in an incorrect calibration and incorrect readings on the detectors. Buyer beware.
