exorbitant shipping cost charged by the seller
The seller charged over 70 dollars for shipping on an item that at most should have been 30 Does ebay have any policy to correct shipping rates that seem to inflate the amount the seller receives?

·11 months agoSellers are allowed to set their own shipping prices, and those prices do not have to reflect what a shipping carrier would charge. It’s also possible you’re mistaken about how much it would cost, especially if the item is oversized or an irregular shape.
They are not allowed to charge more for shipping than was shown on the listing, however. I can’t tell from your post if you’re saying they charged more after you made the purchase than it said, or if it was displayed as $70 on the listing and you simply think that’s too much.
Please return and let us know whether you made the purchase and if the shipping was displayed the same on the original listing and any invoice you may have received if so.
