Excessive arbitrary fees by eBay
eBay expected to respond:
I sold 3 items each 31 for total 93$. I shipped the items myself- eBay was not involved. Why does eBay charge me 4$ for shipping & handling for EVERY item? from 93$ I may now received only 85. Mistake?
Order no. 01-09606-62174
Also, you have HAD my bank acc data but so far have failed to pay me. Why do I have to get aggravated and spend time asking for the payments? its not the first time you pay my identical bank account.
Please answer ASAP

The $93 is just for the item.
To figure your fee's, you need to add the shipping and any sales tax the buyer paid.
Their fee's are based on the total amount the buyer pays.

The fee is not based on the shipping you pay, it is based on what the buyer PAYS YOU. There is no mistake. eBay calculates the FVF on the total payment including s/h that YOU charge the buyer, and any sales tax that eBay is required to collect for the buyer's state.
Years ago eBay charged FVFs on the price alone, but far too many sellers avoided paying the fee by selling a $100 item for $1 plus $99 s/h. At the same time they were trying to push "Free Shipping" but sellers who did so were at a disadvantage because the s/h had to be built into the price, so they were paying higher fees than those with separate s/h. So they changed the calculation to the "total price" of price plus s/h actually paid (with an adjustment if the buyer selected an overnight or international shipping option)lowering other fees and the FVF percentage on some categories at the same time.
