"Exception: destroy" update for an item I'm tracking
Hi there. So, I ordered a nail polish here on eBay (my second attempt to buy said polish. The first time I ordered it, I later found out they couldn't ship it, after initially being told they could). So I tried again with a different seller. Went to track my item yesterday, only to find out it had been handed off to Pitney Bowes, and the latest tracking update says "exception: destroy", which apparently may mean that the nail polish bottle had been shattered, and Pitney Bowes had discarded it. I'm getting nowhere with Pitney Bowes to find out what actually happened. And trying to get help with this issue here on eBay is a struggle, as the automated help thing doesn't connect you to a real person, but instead a machine that doesn't even know what I'm talking about. When I told the automated machine what was going on, and asked what "exception: destroy" meant, instead of answering my question, it thought I wanted to cancel the order, which I did not want to do, and it's already too late for that! So I had to look up my question elsewhere, and got the answer I listed at the top of this message. So, what do I do now? If the nail polish has been destroyed, I don't want to have to wait until the end of the supposed arrival date (April 6) to find out if the nail polish was indeed damaged and disposed of, I want answers now. So, what can I do about this? I want either the polish I ordered, or at least a refund.

Nail polish is only supposed to be shipped ground shipping. This means it has to ship FEDEX or DHL to Canada which is not a good idea as they charge brokerage fees in addition to customs fees.
The sellers should block international shipping on nail polish.
You need to file a not received refund request case. eBay will refund you out of their pocket.
