Exactly 0% porn in my Watch List.. yet 100% of my "Suggestions Based on Watched Items" is porn
I don't think i need community help but there is absolutely no way to report this problem for what it is. Hoping to get eBay's attention more than anything...
I have no idea at all why a watch list full of arts/crafts/toys stuff is triggering literally ALL of my suggestions to display "glossy 8X10 professional model" printout photo porn... but it should absolutely not be doing that. Saying "glossy 8X10 professional model" because it is in the title of literally every single listing in my suggestions. and I am in no way exaggerating that 100% of all my suggestions are these porn listings. all of them.
Furthermore, this just started right before posting this... I have not added anything to the list since last night, but this wasn't happening in between my last Watch addition and now. the list is only like 10 things, none of which i want to delete... and 10 is not even close to enough to a quantity of items that maybe i'm missing something in the list lol...
none of the ebay service links go anywhere remotely near being able to report whatever technical glitch is causing this... or reporting whatever loophole the seller is using to cause these suggestions...
i'm not even offended by it generally speaking, but good lord i can't scroll anything without having all these listings all over my screen lol

eBay suggestions can be based on odd criteria or very tenuous links. There may be common keywords in the listings you are watching and the suggestions; possibly the items being suggested were also looked at, watched or bought by other users with similar watch list items to yours. Or the items may be sold by some of the same sellers that you have watched items from.
I still get suggestions based entirely on a single keyword I specifically excluded from one of my saved searches long ago.
If 99 out of 100 suggestions leave users scratching their heads in puzzlement, but one suggestion leads to an additional sale that otherwise would not have occurred, the suggestions are probably considered worth it from eBay's point of view.
If you do not want to see eBay's suggestions, one way to avoid them is to pick a different page and use that instead of whichever page (the main eBay page?) is offering those suggestions. If the suggestions appear on other pages and you are using a desktop browser that allows ad blockers with custom rules, you may be able to block the rows of suggestions that appear on most pages, though that may take some effort to set up, at least initially.
If eBay ever starts to suggest things I actually want to buy, then I will start getting worried that eBay knows too much about me. Until then, I mostly ignore the suggestions, or occasionally chuckle at some.
