Every delivery is so slow!
I’ve had enough of eBay. Every purchase takes over a week to arrive. Some sellers wait a couple days to print the shipping label, and who knows when they drop it off. The USPS tracking is slow, showing days of gaps in delivery status. I don’t even know haw to chat with a representative now. AI assistant only provides generic information. I’ve been a customer for over 25 years, but I am sticking with Amazon going forward. I live in a large metropolitan area, not in the boonies. Between seller delays, USPS delays, and eBay not caring, I’m done. Once these last 6 orders finally arrive in the next couple of weeks, I will quit this outdated service.

Mentor2 years agoHi @tomdayton5uq1
I am happy to have bought on both eBay and Amazon for many years.
Amazon has its own warehouses and own shipping service now. eBay sellers must ship everything themselves. I don’t expect them to be the same.
If you want to forgo all the items you can buy only on eBay … then I hope that fast shipping will keep you satisfied. Happy trails! 😊

Mentor2 years ago@tomdayton5uq1 eBay is very different from Amazon. If I need a common item fast I buy it from Amazon, although lately Amazon has been delaying my orders too even though I too I am not in the boonies.
The last estimated delivery date is shown on the listing when you make a purchase on eBay.
We are individual sellers that also sell unique items that you can't find on Amazon so we have to use the postal service to ship items, eBay doesn't have delivery trucks or warehouses to ship from.
Some sellers do have longer handling times because they are individuals that are selling and working a full time job.
I respect your decision to shop wherever you wish of course. Just trying to explain the differences and help you understand how eBay's site is different.

OP2 years agoI do rely on the provided delivery dates window when i make a purchase decision. It is when the date goes well beyond that delivery window that the frustration kicks in, and I’m kicking myself for trusting it. i am awaiting common items available from many vendors, but I do agree about unique items. Thank you for your feedback.
