Etra charges for delivery
sold a large, heavy item and the buyer paid the calculated shipping upfront. However, upon delivery, the carrier charged an additional $130 fee for the buyer to collect the package. The buyer is now requesting a refund for this difference. I need to clarify if there's a way to dispute this extra charge with the carrier or if I am required to cover it directly

If the buyer already paid it, there’s no incentive for the carrier to help you, but you can try asking for details. I doubt that it will change the amount charged to the buyer.
How careful are you entering weight and dimensions in your listings? Do you weigh and measure the item in the box you will use for shipping, with all of the packing material you will use?
Ask the buyer for their email address so you can send them the money through PayPal, or agree on a different form of payment - Venmo, zelle, paper check.
