Error message when responding to a buyer
Someone wants to buy an item and sent me a message. When I tried messaging back I go this "It appears your message contains contact & payment information which is not allowed under our Member-to-member contact policy. For the safety of our users, all communications and payments must remain on the eBay platform." How can I respond to my buyer? I have never gotten this message before. Thanks in advance.

I don't know what the question is or what your answer was, but you can't provide any of this information in a message prior to a buyer purchasing an item:
Address
emal
phone number
payment account information (venmo, paypal, cash app, etc)
If you tell me more what's happening, I can be more helpful.

Add "links that lead off of eBay" to the above list. I messaged a seller a few days ago, and tried to include in the message a link to a site that contains information that would enhance the title/description of the item he had listed – a Zildjian Vintage K cymbal, if it matters.
The site contains only information identifying the evolution of Zildjian's stamp/imprint on their cymbals, and in no way could contribute to an off-eBay sale. Anyway, I observed eBay's prohibition and managed to inform the seller a different way.
I checked his listing a couple of days later and saw that he had revised the listing to specify which stamp the cymbal has. This is something potential buyers want to know, so I think it would be considerate that, if the cymbal sells, eBay should give me a small cut of the fvf commission . . . but I'm not holding my breath.
