Error Message to the buyer when attempting to pay

I recently tried to sell an item. The buyer kept stating his payment was rejected because of an error. I can not find any way to check this or correct it. Any suggestions?

It is not your responsibility to solve the buyer's problem, since the buyer pays through Ebay.

Thank you! However, trying to talk to a human within the ebay company is not possible. I'll try through the virtual assistant again.
