I want to end 4 auctions that have no bids and no watchers. Will I receive a "defect" ?

·2 years agoAs long as there has never been a bid you won't be subject to the fee for cancelling all bids and ending the listing early. A cancelled bid would subject you to fee and the 12 hour deadline (cannot be done with less than 12 hours remaining). Not sure about a retracted bid. No "defects" are involved--that is for cancelling transactions, e.g. where the auction wins with a winner, and other issues with an actual buyer rather than just bidders.
If you are doing so because you deliberately set the Starting Price lower than you are willing to sell for without paying for a Reserve Price and do so to avoid having to sell that low if it only gets one bid, it would in my opinion be a violation of the eBay Fee Avoidance Policy (cancelling bids and ending without a winner is specifically stated to violate the Policy, I don't see any real difference in Policy if it never had a bid, only in PR considerations of not ticking off bidders which isn't supposed to be the reason for the Policy).
