Ending an auction early to accept an offer after there are already bids on an item
The buyer is requesting, that he would take the lead bid, then once he does that, I as the seller would end the auction early declaring him the winner, then I send him an invoice adding the difference to the shipping cost to total the amount agreed on... then once that is done he will make payment. He says he has used this method many times with other sellers and it works out perfectly. Is this legal on eBay?
