End Auction-style listings early Fee

Question

I ended a auction early because I realized it was the wrong item... I was nor able to edit mistake so I ended and resisted under the proper title. I was charged a hefty fee? Then the delisted item sold and was again charged a fee? does not make sense? there was a bid on the item and messaged bidder the situation and all seemed fine. Can I get a refund for this innocent mistake?

It is supposed to be waived the first time it is incurred per calendar year (to allow for the very occasional "innocent mistake" as opposed to its purpose of deterring evasion of the fee for a Reserve Price). I don't know if that is automatic or whether you have to contact Customer Service to claim the waiver.

Here is a link to the Help Pages on Ending listings. It has a nice chart showing when FVFs might be charged if you end it early. Not to rub salt in the wound but you ended it because you made a mistake, but in the end paying the fee may have been better than cancelling later and getting a defect on your account or risking less than Positive Feedback from an unhappy Customer.

@edbono No, the fee for ending the auction will not be refunded. According to Ebay: You may be charged a final value fee based on the amount of the highest bid
