empty package
I am relatively new at this Ebay thing. I sent a package off to a buyer and when he got it today,it had been opened and the item was missing. He is demanding a refund, I haven't received any funds from Ebay yet. So if he gets his money returned I am the one getting screwed because a 80.00 memory card was stolen while in transit. Can someone shed some light on this if they have had any similar experience. Thanks.

You are responsible for the package until delivery, so you do owe the buyer a refund. You must fund the refund, but then eBay will release the buyer's payment to you and reverse the fees.
Your package had $100 of insurance on it, so file a claim with the carrier. Ask the buyer for multiple photos of the package so that you can show the damage to the package.
It looks to be a small item - how did you package it?
