Email that my item needs yes reply to start verification of sale? Why?

I got an email saying my listing was sold and to respond yes if I want to go ahead with the sale. Im the past buyers have just bought and i move forward. Why did I get this message?

This sounds like a scam of some sort. Do NOT reply, as this is not a normal part of the process. Someone is trying to trick you into communicating by either text/email. This is more common with high fraud items such as electronics or trading cards. Unless you receive a Notification directly from eBay that your item has sold, it has not sold.
