Email Notifications
Summary: integritysupplyllc is experiencing an issue with not receiving email notifications from a platform when an item is sold, despite checking their communication preferences. They reached out to customer service and were advised to contact their email provider. lady_madonna suggested checking the spam folder and resetting notification preferences, which integritysupplyllc tried without success. They are seeking further advice from the community.
I have a question I can't seem to find the answer to. I'm not complaining but I have spent more than two days trying to find for myself. I would like to ask a Mentor in the Community a question regarding "email notifications" Ebay is suppose to automatically send an email when an item gets sold.. Right? Ok - I haven't been receiving them. Yes I already have checked on the "Communication Preference", everything looks good. Strange huh? I still get the reminder notifications that an item was purchased (a week ago), but no initial email that says the Item was sold. I have used this account for years now, why all of a sudden is this affecting my email notifications? While I await for an answer, AI Google and maybe Chat GPT ( i don't rely on these, only use when I am up against the wall). And well - I'm still climbing for answers.
Thanks to anyone in advance.
*Note, I reached out to Ebay and the representative (phone call) looked into it and she replied with an answer to reach out to the Outlook Email? Call them she says, hmm 🤔- So here I am asking the Community for their advice before moving on.

Mentor3 weeks agoLots of things can prevent an email from getting through to you. Some of those things may be on eBay's end, some are network issues, some are due to your email provider or your email client settings.
In one memorable case, the user's local email provider had decided that there were "too many" messages from eBay arriving in a short span of time, so the emails were silently dropped.
Email is not entirely reliable and it should not be depended on for critical issues like notifications of items sold. Sign in to your eBay account and check Seller Hub at least once per day.

Mentor3 weeks agoHave you checked your spam/junk folder in your email?
Go to your Communication Preferences, selling notifications and make sure that the "Item Sold" box is checked. If it is checked, you can try unchecking it and rechecking it to reset the notification.

OP3 weeks agoYes - I did this twice. So I unchecked, then signed off. Signed back in and rechecked "ALL" - signed out. Signed back in to see if all was still checked off and voila! All still good. So what is next?
