Email address already in use
I need to change my email address for my account. I tried updating and eBay said both emails I entered are already in use. I need to find out if those emails are my past mistakes dumbing around, or there is an actual account by someone else with the same email address. Can I look up someone knowing only their email so I can look at their profile? Thanks.

Each eBay account needs a unique email address. If you are getting a message that an email address is "already in use", that means it is already associated with a different eBay account and you must use a different email address for this eBay account.
Some email systems such as gmail allow multiple different email addresses point to the same inbox, so that might be a way to allow you to get around this:

Mentor11 months agoYou may have inadvertently created an eBay account by signing in using a social media account linked to that email address for the first time.
Try signing in to eBay using that email address as your username. If you do not know the password you used, try resetting the password.
