Electronics policy
Having difficulty understanding why eBay removed a listing for a Skymee AI Pet Camera and treat dispenser stating it violated the electronics policy. I read the policy and it does not promote elicit usage and there are numerous active listings for the same camera or others alike. The message also states a German policy violation that is garbled (not the best example of professionalism). See below:
Bundesnetzagentur f?r Elektrizit?t, Gas, Telekommunikation, Post und Eisenbahnen has reported your item 204668491715. They asked us to transmit the following message to you: Written Warning, Az. -894-1 The Bundesnetzagentur found a product of you which breaches German law (section 8 subsection 1 Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act). This is a spy camera and also a microphone which has wireless technology and is hidden in an object of daily use. I end these administral proceedings with a written warning. I asked eBay to delete this item from the platform. For further information do not hesitate to contact me. Contact Details: spionagegeraete@bnetza.de
I am under the impression this is a mistake but not then again.....
Is this a common violation?
Why are other listings active for the same item?
What action can be taken to reverse this since the "help" chat does not address this?

Mentor2 years agoGoing only on the basis of the info you have provided and some general knowledge of how eBay works:
You probably should sell that item elsewhere rather than on eBay; if an item has been removed by eBay, relisting it can cause problems for your account. Even if someone at eBay assures you that the item is OK to list, if a bot caught it once, it will likely be caught again, and the penalties for relisting an item that has been removed are progressive ones leading to suspension and loss of account. Better not to risk it.
It may be that there are legal reasons why such items cannot be sold in Germany (or elsewhere). I do not know.
Perhaps others listing similar items do not ship to Germany or other problematic locations. Or perhaps those item listings just have not been caught or reported yet. There is no way to be sure.
