Electronic equipment policy
I was informed today 4/6/2025 that my listing was removed and that I'm not following the "electronic equipment policy" as I had a CB radio listed for sale. Ebay says CB radios may not be listed on eBay if they operate in the frequency band 26.1-28MHz and if they are 10M HAM radio and 11M CB radio and are not compliant with the R&TTE Directive or do not comply with specifications in force prior to R&TTE Directive. I have sold 4 other CBs in the last 4 months with nothing said about this rule and now all of a sudden its a big deal while I see 36,000 other sellers of CBs listed with no issues. If this is the case then why are they allowed to post/ sell and not me? Same general equipment that does the same job. I have recently retired driving commercial trucks for 25 yrs and I am liquidating all of my personal CB equipment so I am not even a CB dealer/business like many I see with no restrictions of any kind. I have been a buying and selling member since: Oct 2011 and I don't feel like I'm being treated fairly. I sent in an appeal but I won't hold a lot faith that will help my situation... Anybody else run into this problem?
