EIN/DUNS
Hello,
I bought an item of relatively high value from a seller in the US which I want to ship abroad. I now need the sellers EIN/DUNS number for customs.
I’ve reached out to the seller but received no response.
Any suggestions? I cannot ship the item without that information.

OP2 years agoHi, thank you for the reply.
I live abroad and use a freight forwarding company to consolidate items I buy in the US and then ship them.
This is the first time that customs want the DUNS/EIN number before they’ll release the package for shipment because of the item’s value.
What are my options here now?

Mentor2 years ago@chrisvdl. Your only option is to reach out to the seller about a return. Don't refuse the package or it voids the eBay Money Back Guarantee, the seller could get the item back and not refund you.
Reshipping voids the eBay Money Back Guarantee but since the item hasn't left the country then that shouldn't apply.

Mentor2 years ago@chrisvdl The seller shipped to a US address and provided the information needed to complete the transaction. I personally would not give out my EIN number because it can be used for fraud.
