eBay's Shipping Update Removed SKU, Item Title & Listing Link — Now Forces a Multi-Page Workflow.
This is not a feature request. This is a request to revert a change that broke a workflow that worked perfectly for years.
After a recent update to the advanced "Buy Shipping Label" page, three things were silently removed from the order details panel: the item title, the seller-entered SKU number, and the clickable hyperlink to the original listing. The panel now shows only a small thumbnail and the words "1 item." There is no workaround. The information is simply gone.
Here is what the old workflow looked like:
— Click "Get Shipping Label" on the item
— Glance at the SKU number displayed on the shipping page to confirm correct item
— Click the listing hyperlink in the order details panel
— Review listing photos to visually confirm the item
— Hit back, purchase the label
Clean. Efficient. Contained entirely within one workflow.
Here is what eBay has forced sellers into now:
— Click "Get Shipping Label" on the item
— Realize there is no SKU, no title, nothing identifying the item
— Leave the shipping page entirely
— Navigate back to the bulk shipping page
— Locate the correct listing and click through to verify it
— Exit that page
— Return to the bulk shipping page
— Re-click "Get Shipping Label" — now hoping you click the correct listing and not an adjacent one
— Purchase the label
Count those steps. Then count how many times a seller has to hold the correct item in their head while bouncing between pages with no persistent reference point. That is where errors happen. That is where the wrong label gets bought and the wrong item gets shipped.

Mentor4 months agoI printed 4 labels yesterday morning, and nothing had changed. My workflow is exactly as you described in the first scenario. I certainly hope it is not changing to what you described in the second scenario.
