Ebay's Improper grammar
When listing an item, written within the listing states:
List FOR free.
We don't list FOR free. We list them FREE. FOR is incorrect grammar. It's a low-life way to state this option. I am ashamed of Ebay, as well as insulted!!!!

·2 years agoHi @scho_383 , that's very kind of you to correct eBay's grammar for free. As a retired professional editor, I used to be paid for correcting grammar! It is acceptable to use the preposition for after a verb to mean in exchange. For example, list for $5 is correct, but list $5 is not.
