eBay's disgusting treatment of seller
I sent an item to China using USPS First Class Package International. The item is stuck at the destination's Customs awaiting clearance. The buyer went ahead and filed a claim for item not received. eBay went ahead and refunded the buyer. I asked customer support to call me, which they did. The 4th time I called I asked to speak with a supervisor only to have the representative on the phone telling me that asking for a supervisor makes no sense. So now there's a charge against my account for an item that is still in transit to a buyer who has been refunded and eBay is telling me I have to contact customs to find out what happened to my package. I hope no one else gets screwed over like I did

Mentor1 year ago@ttpr99 I am sorry that you found out the hard way that direct shipping to buyers in other countries is risky.
I only recommend shipping internationally with the eBay Internationally Shipping Program. With the EIS program you only ship to a US hub and then eBay takes over. You are not responsible for items that are late, lost or damaged in shipment after they leave the hub. You do have to wait for eBay to opt you into the program, you can sign up yourself.
Shipping to China and any country not on this list MUST be sent using Priority Mail or you don't have any tracking proof of delivery. The buyer can say it never arrived> https://faq.usps.com/s/article/Electronic-USPS-Delivery-Confirmation-International
Have you set up your buyer requirements in account settings?
Click this link: https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements Then block buyers with 2 or more unpaid items in 12 months.
Also block buyers in locations you do not ship to.
