Ebay's Current Feedback Policy
I've been selling on eBay for 19 years, so I've been through ups and downs concerning feedback policies, but currently this one is by far the worst.
It's concerning a neutral feedback, no big deal to most, but for me it is. Comments as a neutral can also be misleading and cause buyers to question the item. So here's the deal, I contacted eBay about the feedback (multiple times). They refused to remove it because they says it the "buyer experience", so the neutral stands as is. I finally was able to talk with a so called supervisor type person and she said the same thing, but also stated she needed more "proof" to remove the feedback. Now the buyer said the item purchased doesn't fit his Panhead Harley-Davidson, and he never contacted me to let me know or fix the issue. The supervisor said she needed proof as to why it didn't fit his motorcycle, so I stated this: In the item description I list every model Harley-Davidson and years the item fits....Panhead is not one of them.......I also list the OEM part numbers so the buyer knows what is exactly in the package....no numbers for a Panhead......then I told her, so that no one would be confused, in "BIG RED LETTERS" it says this item will not fit Panhead models. She still refused to remove the feedback.......seriously!!!
This buyer purchases the wrong item, never contacts me, gives me a neutral feedback and I have done everything possible to ensure the buyer gets all of the information needed to make the proper purchase.......INCLUDING .......IN RED LETTERS "THIS WILL NOIT FIT A PANHEAD"........and somehow I take the hit for his stupidity!@!! This is $#@@$%@^ crazy!!!

Mentor4 months agoThe feedback is over 30 days old so it cannot be revised. It will not be removed since it does not violate Ebay feedback policy. It does not affect your feedback % and will not affect your sales.

Let me get this straight, I list every single H-D model and year the item will fit. I list every single part number of the items included in the kit. I add, in red letters, what H-D model it won't fit. Now the customer buys it knowing (if he can read), it won't fit his Panhead because it's not on my list of H-D models the item will fit. He buys it knowing none of the part numbers are for his Panhead because the item doesn't fit a Panhead.....and.....in red letters I tell the customer it will not fit a Panhead. How the FK do I take a hit for this **bleep** buying this item that won't fit his motorcycle!!!! I don't care if it's a neutral and won't affect my %......it's a neutral and I've gone above and beyond to ensure my customers know what they're buying in all my auctions. It should be removed. I've had less removed before. This just shows how eBay once again doesn't care about it's sellers!!! Buyer experience....just goes to show idiots always blame others for their mistakes!!
