EBay wont refund an item

Question

Had an item arrive broken, the seller says dont ship it, but ebay says I have to ship it, I shipped it and FedEx returned the item per the sellers request, but EBay is not refunding me the money. I sent them an email, tried to contact them at 866-540-3229 and voicemail always says it's outside of business hours. I can't believe how bad customer support is at EBay these days!!! any help would be appreciated

Since eBay currently has no incoming phone number, any number you found is either outdated or a scam number.

There is no incoming phone number for buyers or sellers. If you want a call back from eBay Customer Service, here is how to get a call:

Start at an article close to your question (you can look from here: https://www.ebay.com/help/home)

Scroll to the Bottom of the page similar to your question

1) Click "Contact Us" or the ? then:

In the CHAT WINDOW

2) Type "I need help"
3) Click "Selling" (or your topic)
4) Type "Agent" in the chat window
5) You may need to click "Something Else" or "More Options" or type "Agent" a few more times
6) Click â€œHave Us Call Youâ€ (or "Chat with an Agent")

-- If you use a call filter on your phone, turn it off temporarily, or it might block the incoming call.
