ebay won't let me use my account, and can't fix it
I started this account in 2010. Pretty sure I've had an account before that, but the records aren't there, at least not with the email I've used for the last 20 years. It won't let me buy. I'm not a big user, so it is possible this problem has been there since the beginning. After many attempts at reseting the password over the years, I've found out that it thinks I have two accounts. Another clue to what is going on is that there is a typo in my phone number. The only way to fix that is to change the phone number, but I can't. When I log in, it wants me to enter the password to update personal information, only at that point, it won't take the password. I try resetting the password, then I log in, then I get to personal information, use that new password, it won't accept it. Repeat. I've done this 10x. No one on the phone can fix the problem. They keep saying they are going to log a ticket and get back to me, but no one does. I want to close the account, but I am worried I will never be able to use my phone number or primary email to start a new one. They've told me I would have to wait 60 to start over anyway. Why does Ebay not want me to use Ebay?
