eBay won't allow me to return an item the seller agrees to take back

I've received a defective item and the seller agrees to take it back in return, but eBay will not allow me to process the return. The online assistant leads me down the same path to a dead end every time I try to use it. How do I contact someone nto automated at eBay by phone or online.

Make sure you are including a photo if one is required. If you are unable to include a photo, you may have to contact eBay to initiate the return.
