Ebay will not accept tracking number on multiple item purchase-single shipment to one buyer.
One buyer bought four items that were listed separately. I paid for shipping and notified buyer all four items were shipping together. The problem is eBay would not accept the same tracking number on all four items, only for three; pop-up message said that tracking already used for a different buyer.

Three scenarios can explain why you can't enter the same tracking # on all four items...
You cannot combine shipments unless the user names match EXACTLY, even if it's the same buyer. Check the ship-to address on all the orders to see if they match.

OP9 months agoScenario #2, buyer used two different IDs.
Buyer already paid and received items-now what?

Mentor9 months agoYou cannot combine orders across ids. All you can do is select Mark as shipped from the drop down menu next to the sold items.

Mentor9 months ago@mcfly369. All you can do now is select shipped from the drop down menu next to the items.
For future sales select all items put a check next to all of the sold items.
Then select get shipping label from the shipping drop down menu at the top of the list.
Next page say yes to combine shipping.
Adjust the package size and weight as needed.
This way the tracking number is added to all items automatically.
EDIT TO ADD> You should be able to manually add the tracking number to the other items BEFORE you had the label scanned at the post office. It is best to combine the order though.
