eBay will not accept my address. Says my zip code is invalid.

I live here. My zip code is correct. Why will eBay not accept it? Iâ€™m in Seattle not a small town. There are no humans in customer service that will help me. eBay is becoming a joke.

Are they not accepting the ZIP Code ... or are they suggesting a different 'format'?

I usually allow the recommended change when this happens. Using the full 9-digit ZIP often leads to paying less tax.

The first thing that comes to mind is if you have been a Buyer but now want to sell on your account and need to set up Managed Payments. In that scenario, your zip code would need to be identical to the checking account you provide to eBay to process your payments, either from Buyers or for Seller fees. With Managed Payment accounts, everything must line up exactly.
