Ebay wants to verify I'm me - selected text - text doesn't arrive - have phoned ebay useless

Question

I rang ebay last Thursday - spoke to Jack - said he'd alter the number of lifetime texts I can get - might take 40 hours - still can't get a text (landline) - rang ebay - very difficult to catch o[prator's accent - said my name on the account wasn't the one gave her - amazing! Have had account for years - only ever used one name!

@wall-4697 , The verification issue may be that you have somehow been misdirected to the U.S. based site (ebay.com) on whose community you have posted your issue. Since you are located in the U.K. your home site is (ebay.co.uk) Once you read this message, sign off of this site, and sign into ( www.ebay.co.uk ) You may not need to verify your account once you have logged in to it. You established your account last Thursday, and it can take 24 hours for the registry to make it into ebay's computers, and that's why verification failed that day. You should check the address bar on your device to make sure you are signed back in to your home site, any time you open a foreign sellers listing page(s) to view their items for sale.
