I was looking too purchase a golf cart below is the only method to buy the item. If anyone can offer an opinion as too if this is a method of payment eBay customer use I would appreciate your reply.

How to make the payment?
Payment must be submitted via eBay Cards or Apple Cards. eBay Cards and Apple Cards can be purchased at the locations where you shop for your daily needs (drugstore/grocery store, post offices). There are no special customer service counters and no forms to fill out.
The total value of your cards must be $1000. You can add up to $200 onto an eBay Card and up
to $500 onto an Apple Card. You need to buy as many eBay/Apple Cards as you need to complete the payment. (eg: for a payment of $1000 you have to purchase 5 (five) eBay Cards loaded with $200 each, or 2 (two) Apple Cards loaded with $500 each).
Important tips!
If you can't find a complete pack of the same type of cards, you can combine them together (eg: 1 x $500 Apple, 2 x $200 eBay and 1 x $100 eBay or Apple Card).
Some stores charge an additional fee when purchasing these cards. If asked why you're buying these cards, tell them it's for personal reasons (eg. as a gift for a relative). That way, you won't have to pay the additional 10% fee that applies to online marketplace buyers.
Some stores have a daily eBay/Apple Cards purchase limit, per person, per day. To avoid this limit, you can purchase the cards from different stores.

ebay does not work that way. They have no connection to whatever ads you were looking at on another site (that would be akin to finding something at Walmart and paying for it at Target).
No legitimate seller will ever ask you to pay with gift cards. Scammers love them because they’re untraceable.
Their claim about telling someone who asks that you want the cards for giving a gift so you won’t have to pay a fee is total malarkey. They want you to say that so the cashier won’t warn you it’s all a scam.
ebay was never involved. Their name was used to gain your trust.
