eBay Tracking is a JOKE !!
eBay tracking does not do what it is supposed to do. The whole purpose of tracking is to TRACK A PACKAGE during shipping. I have experienced many times that my package arrived at a shipping US post office. Step one ... check. But that's it .... there is no more communication to a buyer of an eBay item after the package was dropped off at a post office. WHAT ????? There is no status whatsoever after a package was dropped off at a US post office. My packages eventually arrive with no tracking status at all during shipment. There is no indication where the package is (scanned) along its route. There is no indication that the package was even delivered. There is no tracking status at all. Why did eBay even get into tracking packages? They are not doing a good job and buyers deserve much better service!

OP2 years agoIs there a way for an eBay buyer to say they do not want to use eBay's standard envelope delivery? It's horrible, but eBay elects to do nothing about this mess. eBay tracking is absolutely horrible. Even after when a package does get delivered (with absolutely no status of where the package is during its route) the eBay status reads 'This item may have limited tracking updates'. Buyers do not want LIMITED TRACKING UPDATES !!!! Why do I have to pay eBay for LIMITED TRACKING UPDATES ???? Some people have weighed in that eBay's tracking is FREE, **bleep** ..... **bleep**. (the bleeps start with Bull). Why doesn't eBay leave tracking up to the professionals, which is USPS ????
So my question again, 'Is there a way for an eBay buyer to say they do not want to use eBay's standard envelope'? Buyers need a reliable tracking service, like USPS tracking. I am considering dropping eBay from my online purchases. eBay just doesn't care about their buyers or they would have fixed this serious problem many years ago. I hope this message/complaint finds it's way to an eBay executing who can take action and fix this problem once and for all.
